The Virtual Community Group, Inc. is recruiting partners from the funding community to help launch an exciting new initiative that will create lasting, future-oriented employment for residents of low income rural communities: Enterprise 2000. Leveraging rapid advances in technology and the Internet, Enterprise 2000 will provide key training and support to low income entrepreneurs, including welfare recipients, that will enable them to build sustainable small businesses and service the world-wide cyber market. We anticipate that within 3 years Enterprise 2000 will create and sustain at least 1200 new businesses in rural New Hampshire; and establish a model that will contribute to the revitalization of rural communities throughout the U.S.

As elsewhere in the U.S., the economic health of New Hampshire's rural communities has suffered steady decline since the early 1900's. Family farms, which once formed an economic base supporting large numbers of rural inhabitants, have been all but eradicated by large-scale agribusiness. Since 1960, New Hampshire has lost xx% of its manufacturing jobs, as corporations or local factories have shut down or moved operations out of state. In the absence of such base industries, traditional small businesses also have trouble surviving: in the best of times, the distance between households and towns already limit commerce; in troubled times, this problem is greatly compounded by depressed family incomes. As a result, many thousands of individuals from New Hampshire -- particularly our young people -- are moving to cities to seek jobs, not only depopulating and further impoverishing rural communities, but contributing to the growing pool of urban unemployed.

By tapping the energy of the small local entrepreneur, and linking it to the explosion in communications technologies, we believe it is possible to reverse this trend, enabling rural inhabitants to retain viable, high-quality jobs far from industrial and urban centers. Small towns would again offer a wide spectrum of employment opportunities -- from small manufacturing to services to retail -- and develop sound, diversified economies for the first time in generations.

Unfortunately, many small entrepreneurs cannot afford either the training or equipment needed to participate in the rewards of the Information Revolution. Enterprise 2000 was designed explicitly to address this lack of parity, and help level the communications playing field. Working in collaboration with microenterprise organizations, community colleges, and agencies which recycle computer hardware, Enterprise 2000 will offer disadvantaged entrepreneurs the following services at low or no charge:

• Day-time or evening classes in basic, intermediate, and advanced computer skills
• Training to use the Internet and other information networks
• Assessment of MIS needs
• Access to reconditioned computer hardware

The Virtual Community Group, Inc. brings a very unusual combination of expertise and experience to bear on the Enterprise 2000 initiative. On both the staff and board, successful high tech entrepreneurs provide a command of cutting-edge technologies; while leaders from the community contribute a strong understanding of and credibility within the constituency we serve. This team created the ground-breaking HAL Anti-Poverty Project, which has supported technology internships and secured employment for over 200 low income high school drop-outs from inner cities in Massachusetts, and was awarded the Al Gore Medal for Creativity in Technology and Social Service in 1993. With the backing of the funding community, the same team will pilot Enterprise 2000 in New Hampshire, a focused employment training model that will generate genuine, future-oriented businesses and job opportunities for low income rural communities throughout the U.S.

Indeed, I can Barely say that he is a avid Noynoy Aquino, for the more than years has come different Issues and different scandal has been Boom! in the mind of the Filipino people and as well as in our community about the performances of the President. In fact, we wait this election in more than 9 years, we are hungry for the new administration who should govern the State in a proper pathway and the people should enjoy their liberty to express their own self.
In connection with this, the write up of the writer as a whole is all about the aspects of the Nature of the Philippine Politics in which he discuss about the real situation of the 2010 election. He express his thoughts and opinions on why some Presidentiables get a high number of votes in which he thinks who has a low capacity and ability (Erap and Villar) but he pointed out on how he congratulate the new administration who has the power to govern the country. Noynoy Aquino is just a normal politician, he doesn't done anything in the congress and in the senate, we shall see his capability and performance in 6 years if he is a rightful man to became the president of the Republic of Philippines.

A REACTION ABOUT 2010 ELECTION

National Election is one of the highlight of a country, in which people has a power to participate and exercise their right to vote. In fact, people are waiting in more than 6 years for the new leaders in our country and to our own government as well. They are hungry for the new development and for the new administration to exercise their duty which is to improve the welfare of the people.

The 2010 Election is the first automated election in the nation. Indeed, people are deem this as a new know-how as a citizen of a Democratic country and since folks are now using the new technology devices to vote.

And talking about experiences during election, as a “virgin voter” I can say that it is not doubtful to fall in line, looking for my name in a like chalk and cheese cluster area and asking for a priority number so as to I can get my secrecy ballot as earlier I can. Indeed, people are getting more angry, tense, edgy, nervous and excited to exercise their right to vote. In fact, I witness the usual bond between the voters and the B.E.I (teachers) such as clash and highly voice are there. And it is almost 8pm when I receive my secrecy ballot but waiting for a long time in more than 5 hours is just a nothing. In fact, I felt the happiness when I get out from the election area with all the smiles and proud that I am now a true blooded Filipino.

On the other hand, the 2010 automated election is considered as a successful event. Indeed, in just 24 hours people knows whose candidate won in local election and whose candidate has a possibility to lead to walk in the isle and led the country. The national and local election is one of the highlight of the country in which they give more importance. This election is recorded historically, for the first time in my life I witness on how the 2 important and prestige person concede their ticket to won in the National Elections. And although there is a critic on the capabilities of the automated election I am proudly to say that this is the alternative way to combat the problem of failure of election in the country and as well as the “Pandadaraya” behaviour can be lessen.

THE CITY OF WONDROUS WATERFALLS: ILIGAN CITY

Known for its excellence, diverse culture and loving nature city; Iligan City. Many people wished to live in a peaceful community wherein there is a cooperation of the people. Iligan City known for its excellence, when we talk about schools and colleges, MSU-IIT (Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology) known for its higher excellence, in fact IIT is one of the Top 3 University in the Philippines. I’m proud to say that I am the bonafide student of MSU-IIT in which students consider as one of the most intelligent student in the country, this is MSU-IIT!
Known for its diverse ethnicity and culture, Iligan City is composed of different tribes and people with their own Religion. Roman Catholic, Muslims, Lumads and the Higaonons, this are the different people of Iligan City wherein there is a respect on both side. It is impossible to say that this people have the same perspective. In fact, due to this diverse culture, conflict between people by people cannot be aware. The emerging of the issue about Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), this is one of the example in terms of discussing the conflict in Mindanao, but I believe that “if there is a WILL there is a WAY!”, the famous Diyandi festival among Catholics is one of the highlights every year in the City, different faces with different characteristics. This is the Diverse Culture and Ethnicity of Iligan City!
Known for its loving nature. Iligan City is known as a City of Wondrous Waterfalls in the country. In fact there are 13 wondrous waterfalls located along the city. The famous Maria Cristina Waterfalls which provides electricity in the Island of Mindanao.
This is the place where I belong, ILIGAN CITY. And I am proud to say that I am ILIGANON by attitude and by capabilities and sharing the same culture, norms and means. Viva Senior San Miguel Viva ILIGAN!

A Reaction on the Movie in titled "Si Juan Tamad, ang Diyablo at ang Limang Milyong Boto"

The movie portrays the reality of the Philippine Election and its nature. In which they advocate on how to become responsible in their own decision in the journey of life. May 2010 Philippine Election is the highlight of the country’s history because of the new format on how to vote and the Festival of the different candidates who run in the different offices and people looking forward to the new administration of the government. People might say “I have the right to vote because it is written in our Constitution” but be responsible of it and dissect your candidates.

“Juan Tamad” represents the whole Filipino people, the “Diyablo” who regulate and supervised the Filipino people. While the “Limang Milyong Boto” represent the new registered voters of 2010 election. Juan Tamad or the whole Filipino people became lazy because of improper ruling of the government which is the real fact in our society today, the administration became more corrupt and the high rate of the human abused such as inequality and injustice. While the “diyablo” consider as the guidance of the Filipino people to became more responsible and be independent in choosing the right candidate to led the country. The “limang Milyong Boto” whose represent the new registered voters or the Virgin voters of the country, as virgin voters of this country you have the power to change the nature of the election such as vote buying and be vigilant. As what the news and current affairs say’s “Ako ang Simula”, we are the hope and I am the hope of this country.

The advocacy of the PETA theatre is relevant to the Filipino people so that we as a citizen in this State awaken the bad nature of the Philippine Election, in which it can help also to the people to cultivate the mind of the individual in choosing the right candidate in a right office in the government.
As new registered voters, I earned a lot of idea in choosing the right candidate, ideas that makes me more responsible in exercising my right to vote and to exercise the good things for the sake of the country. In fact, I strongly agree about the message of the movie, to vote wisely, be responsible in choosing the right candidate, be vigilant during elections and exercise your right to vote as a citizen in this Democratic country. The message of the movie is not provoking in which it is rightful and important to all Filipino people to gain the message on what say’s all about.

Filipino’s viewed this movie as a central source of awakening the mind of the simple individual as a used of instruments to guide the Filipino people in choosing the right leader in this Democratic country. This movie is consistent in portraying the nature of election it is not the criticism of the government instead it is the advocacy and the reality of the Philippine election, we can’t blame the Government instead we blame our own selves because we are the one in choosing the leader of our country. We are the hope, we are the start and I am the change of this country.

Three prestige individuals in the showbusiness who have different Opinions on Manny Villars capabilities, they endorse Manny Villar to catch up the attention of the Filipino People. Hence, both three individuals are well known of the Filipino people or the “masa”.

This kind of assertion mention above is a Statement of Opinion, since both the three personality are expressing their own outlook on what they believe about Manny Villar aptitude or potential in leading the country if he won as a President of the State. In fact, there is a possibility that this opinion of the personality are just scripted possibly there is someone who wrote it. Definitely, this kind of assertion is a Statement of Opinion in which they are expressing their thoughts on what they believe.

This assertion is a Vague, although the statement of the 3 individual is meaningful it is hard to assess on how truthful the opinion they have, since they are just the endorser of the politician in which they assess it in a positive attitude without looking to the feelings of the consensus of the people.
